An age system. So apon character creation you can pick an age.
That would be sweet.

Even though it's been mentioned, I'd also like to cast my vote for a true /follow command.
Increase the functionality of the "friends" list. I should be able to send a PM from it, send a group invite from it, and have it notify me when they log on/off.
I think there needs to be some means for changing your skills outside of town. I understand the reason it's done the way it is, and for the most part I agree with it, but because of the nature of many skills being somewhat situational you wind up never using some of them in favor of ones that have a more general use. Because of the 8 slot limitation, it's pretty much foolish to load up certain skills even if you can get some use out of them because you're taking up vital space on your skill bar. I definitely don't support being able to change them anytime, anywhere, on-the-fly either though. Perhaps a time delay between changes (like 15 minutes), so that only allows you to make 1 change during any particular battle, or maybe have holding slots where you can load 1 or 2 skills solely for making switch-outs and have the switch take 30 seconds to complete or some such. That way you could load up those skills that are situational and get at least some use out of them.

1. Please put some merchants with already crafted armor/weapons because this crafter/merchant crap sucks.
2. Put more skill slots having 2 professions at the same time 8 slots is not enough.
3. Lower the price on the guild capes.
4. Lower aggro.

My suggestions
Some of these may have been mentioned and if they have I appologize. I tried, but can't read all 5 pages. No time.
Ok, first, we need more slots for abilities. If I am trained to cast it I should be able to use it in any fight.
Pets - Can there be a way to give the pets commands. Attack, stay back, guard, follow other party member, guard other party member. that sort of thing.
Can you make if we find a new pet we can drop the old one there and get the new one?
In pre-searing there is an area where you can go out and fight Charr, but you can only group with one other person. Let us group with more people so we can fight them.
And speaking of groups. Make the maximum number in a group larger. Maybe have specific quests that can only have smaller groups, but others that can have more. The group minimum should be at least 6. Four is too limiting.
For looting make it a lottery so that one party member picks up the vial of dye and all party members get the opportunity to request it. Then, if we all know that Suzy is trying to collect green dye we can all decline it and give it to her without having to take time to trade. Or if every one of us wants the dye and Suzy wins it we can know it was there and maybe offer her a trade for it or something.
Houses would be nice. Someplace we can retire pets we no longer use, store equipment, have guild parties, decorate and escape the horrors of the war for a few minutes.
Chat filter option so we can choose to censor or not censor when someone curses.

District Choosing when Traveling
I would love to see an option added to allow you to choose which District to join when Traveling from Town to Town.
Obvious Example: Friend and I want to Travel to the same Town, we agree on District 98274339487( at the rate the Districts are being created, I see this as a possibility! :P ) and both choose the same District before clicking Travel.
If desired District is full, it pops up saying such and allows us to choose another District.

1. More character slots, 8 would be great. Maybe an upgradable account if Arenanet needs the cash, so you could buy extra characters?
2. More vault space please. Twice as much as least :O)
3. Mission marker on the big map.
4. Remove block textures. Right now some segments of the world are illogical to navigate. Make none passable obstacles big like: Rocks, fences, trees, ditches, etc.
5. Auction house and/or character based shops.
6. Easier ways to find and form teams. Diablo worked well in that aspect, since you knew what the game was about before you entered it, due to the name it was given in the selector.
Make something like a channel/group selector where you can start a group with a description of what mission you are going for etc.

-Pet controls. (Attack, Defend, Stand ground)
-Character Statistics screen. (Armour, Damage, etc.) for PVE
-Market Place/Auction house. (Like Faldon's, or WoW's, or SW:G, or quite simply - a button on the UI).
**Some other things I noticed after playing for a while:
-First of all, what I *REALLY* want: TWO HANDED GREAT SWORDS!
(For us mighty Barbarian types.)
-Able to progress onwards with just a single character class.
-A vault for storing items.
-Rings and Necklaces
(Maybe for a later expansion pack)
"Open" Areas where any people can go and fight monsters. (Maybe just like the normal, private areas.. except allowing anyone who wants to join).
-Saving where you left off when you log out.
-Warrior classes able to duel wield single handed weapons. (Please, oh please, oh please!).

First off, awsome game. I can play it for hours if you just leave it as-is. Nothing is perfect, however, and even the perfect have room to improve.
Forgive me for any repeated suggestions-- i didnt read the entilre list of what everybody wants. If you see a repeat, consider it my seconding the notion. If the element already exists in the game, please PM me and let me know! Now, on with the improvements!
-Better LFG and party capabilities. I would like to set myself to a LFG status. I would also like to pull up a list of everyone LFG and send tells or invite party members right off this list, no matter what district they are in. This list should include class and level information for good team building.
-In-district drop-down menu of all PCs and NPCs in the zone, with filters for each. PCs move around a lot, so if I highlite their names under the current settings they can be sometimes hard to select.
-Target someone to have their name pop into the whisper channel. Some PCs do not make their names easy to spell.
-Party quests. The quests dont seem very party friendly. A team leader should be able to select the party's quest, everyone gets an arrow on the mini map, and everyone should get xp and an update to their quest matrix. I dislike having to repeat a quest for each member, it goes against the advertised continuity that instancing was supposed to facilitate.
-I would like to somehow get in-game details on guilds other than my own. Right now all I can gander is their abreviated tag after a mambers name. I would like a way to see the full guild name of a PC and their rank. I would like a place to go in-game to look up guilds and see their membership numbers, win/loss stats, place on the ladder, etc.

What I have noticed so far and read that i agree with:
-A level indicator when you mouse over ppl (yes I know that you can c then hit tab but I am lazy and the mouse pops up ther name ANYWAY)
-A ways to indicate what weapons you have in your weapon sets so you don't accidently sell them I tried to put them in my pouch but when I switched weapons they went back into my bag :|
- Travel together to a district would be nice or a way to tell where to go
- More starting outfits, we all look like clones in the beginning
- Mouse over for guild cape materials/requirements, I have no Idea what those two things are that are required ( I am a noob and proud of it)
- Fix that thing where some people are white boxes running around
- More Character slots and equipment choices etc
- Total Stats ie total armor and any buffs etc when i mouseover my character in the equipment screen or while playing whatever
- Monster animations don't match up with the ground , they kinda float
- more ambient noises, things make noice, monster biting it's nails i don't care just SOMETHING
- Wanna explain what the area is beyond the gate so I don't have to Google for it unless i missed something on both my characters, and a general idea like "you should have 2 professions AND BE Lvl 6 or whatever before you go through the gate" so I know what the big deal is.
- "on a team" indicator or "looking for team indicator"
- more monster types are always good, also effects and everything basically *greedy*
- Map location labels for smaller locations
- A highlight color, if you want, to show where you have walked/can walk, to help with pathfinding, maybe not just throwing it out there
- A few issues with draw in (trees) but the game is so beautiful it really doesn't matter, keeping the preformance is the main point
I love this game and applaud you guys for making it so great, keep up the great work.

Suggestions
I have grouped my suggestions into three classes. Minor suggestions would require VERY little work on the part of the programmers to accomplish (tweaking one or two lines of code). Moderate suggestions would require a tiny bit of programming. Major suggestions are wish list features that might be better part of an expansion pack.
Minor suggestions:
Make NPC's YELLOW on mini-map: This one is EXTREMELY important!
NPCs are supposed to appear as yellow according to the manual. Instead they are lime green which is very hard to distinguish from the PCs. This would require almost nothing to fix (just change the color registers for the dots) and would help improve the gaming experience SO much.
Keep in mind that most gamers are male and 10% of males are Red/Green color blind. There is no way they would be able to distinguish those two shades of green. I myself am not RG colorblind, but I have poor eyesight, and I have just given up trying to tell the difference by the dots. This makes it very hard to follow around my group when passing my NPCs.
Add a target Nearest key:
Simple. Just what it says.
Add a retalliate key:
Pressing this key would cycle through mobs or PCs that are currently attacking you.
Add a quick turn key combo:
Pressing altn + and arrow key should turn you 90 degrees for left and right arrows and 180 degrees for the back arrow. This would make it a lot easier to keep track of what is going in a battle and much easier to navigate generally.
Moderate suggestions:
Add a follow command:
This would take more coding than the above suggestions, but it is also a very important features. You would think that with a name like "guildwars" there would be more guild friendly features to the game. Even shadowbane had this, and the designers of that game had very little foresight. The designers of this game seem to have thought things out well, so I am suprised that this is missing.
Add a flight spell or two or perhaps items which are costly in penalties to wear but allow the user to fly:
I remember in Shadowbane that it looked truely magical and suprising when somebody was flying. The time of a flight spell was very limited and so it was not over powerful. This should not be hard to add IF GW contains the structures to check with objects that go above the player's head. If it does not then this would be a major change.
Flight also added some unique tactics to combat.
Flying should be kept rare enough to keep that special feel.
I suggest three flight type spells:
Hover: Most common if available in items. Allows a player to float straight up and move at 1/3 their normal speed. Mesmer (inspiration). Monk. and air-elementalist. Short casting time.
Fly: Less common if in items. Allows the caster to move from 1/2 - full normal speed while in the air. Elementalist-air magick. Moderate casting time.
Soar: Allows the caster to move in the air at 1-3x his/her normal speed. Elementalists. Air magic. This spell causes exhaustion. Long casting time.
Polymorph self spells:
Necro---into various monsterous forms.
Ranger---into animal forms (unless they are planing to put in a druid profession or shifter profession later.)
Changing to a bird could allow for longer lasting flying abilities than regular flying spells, but have the disadvantage of changing the character so he/she can not cast and/or has much lower stats. For rangers this would be a useful spell for travel, but not for battle. Perhaps the underpowered necros could use some powers while in this mode. Should only be available to the primary classes.
Major suggestions:
More character appearance flexibility:
I would like to have more control over character design. I was impressed with the details of the face and hair that one could generate, but unfortunately these things are often covered. It would be nice if one could change bodily features other than height. The ability to change chest width within a profession specific range would be nice. The ability to give your character a bit of a gut or change breast size would also be good (and not to make the breasts huge---I am not trying to sexualize anything here. They are already huge. Keep the current as the max size if you want, but let women players make themselves look more realistic if they want.)
A wider range of hairstyles would be nice too. I'd especially like to see some wild/messy styles. These people are battling after all.
Changing eye color would be good too, and perhaps women could change or remove makeup.
One could even put in hair salons to change ones look. From the way dye is selling, I think that this would be a popular feature.
This is not of major gaming importance right now, but it would give the game a more unique look. Everybody in every town is perfectly physically fit. This doesn't work well for the nps, and it is not necessary for PCs---especially non-fighters.
Races: For an expansion
Races might be nice. I know that they are in most games like this, and I hate it when one race is the absolute best for a certain type of class, but with the major/minor profession set up of GW this game might not suffer from that problem. This would also add to appearance differences mentioned above.
Mounts: for an expansion
Not just for travel but for fighting. This leaves oppen the possibiity for specialized professions for mounted combat and specialized skills for dealing with a mounted fighter. Mounts should be less manuverable but have the ability to charge and maybe even help fight in combat.
Some persistent areas of the map: for an expansion
Add some persistent areas of the map where maintaining a hold on a location or building or artifact grants a particular country a power. Persistent areas would be available from all the different server sets, but, to keep processing speeds down, maybe only allow so many people from each country/collection of countries, to enter at once. This also helps to balance things for countries with fewer players.
Or, if you don't like the country competition idea, allow the players to fight against other guilds in these areas for guild advantages, or against NPCs to maintain advantages for all PCs.
*** I don't know if companies hesitate to take suggestions because of copyright, so I hereby renounce any copyright I may or may not hold on the contents of this post.

Finding people to do quests with
I am finding it really difficult to find people doing the same quest as me. I think it would make the game a lot more fun if it was easier to find people to quest with. I think there should be a way to see people that have the same active quests as you. maybe this could be incorporated as another chat feature where only people with that active quest can hear you. this would make it a lot easier than spamming the channels looking for someone to do a quest with.
sorry if this has been posted already but i didn't want to read every post.

Same here.
Maybe they could add a colored icon above all the players doing the same quest as you?
It would be easier to see them and join up then waiting around for +10 minutes asking if anyone is doing xxx quest.

I would like to see the feature for your character to automatically RE-TRACE it's footsteps along your red path, so if you have to do such, you do not have to manually do it.
Wouldn't be abusive at all, since the only path you can take is the one you have already traveled.

Main suggestion:
Add buildings and other enviorments (damn I suck at spelling) such as taverns where you can buy useless things as a beer or a fruit, but it is something that would help the bad role playing community grow and develope. So that you don't need to imagin there is a tavern and write like *Shall we go to the Tavern* , *Ofcourse, <Walks to Tavern>*. Expanding the cities a bit with indoor enviorments would also make it easier for guilds to meet upp and talk tactics and such instead of being in the crowded areas.
Minor ones:
I agree upon the NPC thingy above. They should be in some other colour (Why not yellow ) .
Would be cool if you could hire a place or a room for an amount of time. I'd like to have this possibility to hold meetings in those rooms.
There should in the future be cities where you can kill anyon you wan't. These should be in the far ends of the map and only for the already expirienced and highly trained players. I can imagin the game qetting quite boring if you can't kill somone without him agreeing on it (and going to the arena) and just keep on killing monsters over and over again. Monsters are AI, people are the real match
I also agree upon the mounts thingy. Would be cool to be able to train the skill of mounting. (Everyone should be able to get that skill as a practical skill and then advance in it by adding skill points making you climb faster).

External Chat Logs - where the player may, at his or her discretion, enable a checkbox to log all whispers, and other text to disk, so that abuse from other players can never become a he said/she said fiasco.
Many players I have seen abuse others openly will simply switch characters and not come back on the offending one for several days.

My suggestions are here : http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...3&page=1&pp=25
Enclosed in the thread is a very large list of suggestions, complaints, ideas, and some bugs. Also enclosed are three detailed ideas and examples of new classes, all of which are not quite "run of the mill" as a traditional concept of a druid or a thief might be.
Also... we need a version history readme so we know what is being updated when the build is upgraded.
